Dr. Hammonds-White is in private practice in the Vanderbilt-West End area. When asked “What do you do”, she replies, “I have the privilege of helping couples and individuals change their lives.” A Certified Imago Relationship Therapist and a Level II EMDR practitioner, she specializes in working with communication and conflict dysfunctions in relationships. She has extensive experience in working with adults and older teens who have experienced childhood abuse. She leads groups for compulsive eaters who want a different relationship with food. She also works with adults who want better parenting skills or who have suffered the loss of a loved one.
She sings in her church choir, occasionally plays the piano and guitar, and speaks decent Spanish. She is a native of Nashville and graduated from Peabody Demonstration School longer ago than seems possible! Her husband, her eighteen year-old daughter, three cats, and two Shelties enrich her life.
